CHICAGO: The R&B singer, R Kelly, 52, has got bail after a weekend in a Chicago jail over sex abuse charges. Kelly was arrested Friday on 10 counts of sexual abuse involving four victims. Three of whom were minors at the time abuse, New York attorney Deborah Blum told reporters. The $100K bail was paid by a 47- year-old woman from the Chicago.

The current charges came a month after the release of a documentary, Surviving R Kelly. The accusations and revelations against Kelly date back to his early career in the 1990s and even beyond.

Kelly himself was victim of child sex abuse, according to his autobiography. He was raped by a relative when he was eight years old and it continued for two years.

Later instances are involving Aaliyah, whom he married, who sued him for emotional distress, Tiffany Hawkins who sued him for "personal injuries and emotional distress", Tracy Sampson, Patrice Jones, a Chicago woman, Jerhonda Pace, who broke a non-disclosure agreement to speak abiut it all.

Kelly has to his credit over 30 million album sales in the United States. He had association with Michael Jackson and J-Z.
