Katy Perry's mom Mary Hudson has apparently confirmed the reported engagement of 34-year old pop star and 42-year old actor Orlando Bloom in social media posts. On Facebook, she wrote, "Look who got engaged last night."
This is likely the second marriage for Perry and Bloom.
Perry was married to comedian Russell Brand (2010 to 2012). Bloom was married to
model Miranda Kerr (2010 to 2013). They share one child, Flynn, aged 8.
The singer got engaged to Troy actor Bloom on Valentine's
Day this year following a three-year relationship. The Part Of Me hitmaker on
Friday shared the news on Instagram.
"Full bloom," wrote Perry on Instagram. There is a photo of theirs together
in a close-up. Katy therein prominently displays a massive diamond ring. The
pic is immersed in a flury of balloons. Bloom scripted over that, "Lifetimes."
Katy Perry listed out the benefits of marriage in a recent
interview, "It's easy to be single and not to be called out on your stuff,
living your awesome single life thinking you're the greatest, and the best, and
doing anything you want," she said. "But then when you get in a partnership
you guys are there to teach each other lessons."
