Indian Railways postpones recruitment exams | The Indian Railways on Saturday postponed the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination, which was
scheduled to be held on June 27, in the wake of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) unearthing a recruitment scam. The RRB was scheduled to conduct examinations
for the posts of Enquiry cum Reservation Clerks (ECRC) and Goods Guards on June
27. In a statement the Railways has said that it has decided to conduct a technical
audit on the RRB examinations. “In view of the technical audit being conducted
by the Railway Board after the CBI investigation into recently held Railway Recruitment
Board (RRB) examination, the Ministry of Railways has decided to postpone the
written examination by all RRBs scheduled on 27th June 2010 (Sunday) for the posts
of Enquiry cum Reservation Clerks (ECRC) and Goods Guards,” the statement said.
The railways said fresh dates for the examination would be intimated shortly.
