Indian Railways launched a special exhibition train, called the 'Sanskriti Express' to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The 'Sanskriti Express' was launched at Howrah station and will take visitors on a mystical journey through the life and works of Tagore. For visitors who swear by the genius of Tagore, the exhibition on wheels provides a rare preview of his virtuosity in various art forms. "Rabindranath Tagore is attached in every aspect in my life thorough his poems, songs, paintings and novels. It is not possible to think beyond him," said Tanusree Pal, a visitor. The five-coach train exhibition depicts his extraordinary works of art. The first coach, called the 'Jibon Smriti' (Memoirs of life) provides a glimpse of Tagore's life through photographs. The second coach-aptly christened 'Gitanjali'- puts on display songs, poems and letters of the master. Gitanjali had fetched Tagore the coveted Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. The third coach is named 'Muktadhara', and takes visitors on a mystical journey through Tagore's novels, essays and plays. 'Chitralekeha' is the fourth coach of the train and depicts his paintings, while the fifth coach depicts the last journey of Tagore. The Sanskriti Express will go to various parts of the country before returning to Kolkata in West Bengal on May 8, 2011 . Tagore, also known as Gurudev, was a multi-faceted, multi-talented personality, and is considered unparalleled by many. His mastery in the realm of arts, literature, music, theatre and philosophy is widely known, and continues to enthrall millions around the world.
