Lalu Prasad's visit to zoo with gunmen generates controversy | Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's recent visit to Patna Zoo with his security detail caused quite a stir. The Bihar Zoo Authority has ordered an inquiry by
a Range Forest Office into the incident. "Range Forest Officer Shashibushan Prasad
has begun an investigation and would submit the report in a week," said Patna
Zoo Director Abhay Kumar. On Wednesday, Lalu visited the zoo to offer prayers
at a temple inside its premises with his security guards carrying sophisticated
weapons. "The guards of the zoo have also been asked to explain why they allowed
Prasad's security personnel to enter the zoo with weapons," Kumar said. An administrative
order bans the entry into zoo premises with weapons. The order was issued to ensure
the safety of animals. The Bihar Zoo Authority has approached the State Government
to issue strict directives to VIPs with Z-plus security to follow the administrative
orders and not to enter zoo with weapons. |
