Pune Blast: We had some intelligence inputs: Maha Deputy CM | Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal late on Saturday evening admitted that there were some intelligence reports regarding the probability of terror incident. “Maharashtra Government received some intelligence inputs on terror incident.
But there were no specific information,” said Bhujbal. The explosion, which
reportedly
left about 8 persons, including three foreign nationals and 33 injured here this
evening at the German Bakery, was a bomb blast in which Improvised explosive
device
(IED) was used. At least five to seven kilogram of IED was used in the bomb blast,
which occured outside the German Bakery here, NDTV reported Anti Terrorist
Squad
(ATS) sources earlier as saying. At least eight persons, including three foreign
nationals, have died and 33 injured, including a Sudan national, in the bakery
blast which has occurred here at about 6.30 or 7.30 p.m. in Koregaon Park here.
Meanwhile, all airlines have been asked to be cautious in the wake of Pune blast.
High alert has been declared in Kolkata ahead of tomorrow’s second cricket Test
match between Indian and South Africa . Naisk and Nagpur cities of Maharashtra
have also been put on high alert. A forensic team has also left for Pune. |
