Aamir Khan, Rehman among Padma awardees | Nobel winning Indian American scientist Venktaraman Ramkrishnan, music director AR Rehman, veteran actress Zora Sehagal, Dr Reddy's YV Reddy, music director Ilayaraza, actress, activist Arundhati Nag, blind mucisian Puttaraj Gawai, actor and director Aamir Khan, film photographer Rasul Phookutty and political historian Bipin Chandra are in the list of Padma Awardees for 2010. The
awards will be conferred by the President of India at a function in March or April.
This year, the President has approved 130 awards including 13 in the category of
Foreigners/ NRIs/ PIOs. These comprise six Padma Vibhushan, 43 Padma Bhushan
and 81 Padma Shri awards. There are 17 ladies among the awardees. Padma
