Karnataka CM admits of making compromises to stay in power | Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Monday admitted that the recent compromises which he made to stay in power are not good for the future of the state. Addressing a public gathering here, Yeddyurappa said: "I
have made a lot of compromises and changes to retain power and government, the
expectation of people have been not made properly." At the same time Yeddyurappa
asserted not to repeat the mistakes. "I also personally feel that there is need
to bring changes in administration. I do not want to continue if I lose the faith
of the people," he added. Yeddyurappa also said that if he failed to keep the
belief of the people he has no right to continue as chief Minister of the state.
Earlier last week, Yeddyurappa inducted MP Renukacharya who is facing severe
charges, to his cabinet. Most of the senior MLAs and party leaders including state
president Sadananda Gowda openly expressed their unhappiness over this decision. |
