Dalai Lama says he is son of India | Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has said that he is a son of India. Addressing the two-day 58th conference
of the Neurological Society of India at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute
of Medical Sciences here on Thursday, he said: "I'm student of Nalanda masters
of thinking therefore I also describe that I'm son of India." He also urged Indian
religious leaders to step out of their narrow confines to spread the country's
universal values across the globe. "The messenger in me is actively propagating
Indian values and it was now time that the spiritual personalities here got down
to spreading the Indian message across the globe," he said. Emphasizing on the
power of meditation and need for more scientific research on it, Dalai Lama said:
"We recently conducted a study with the help of scientists in America on a group
of people and found that after three weeks of meditation their blood pressure
reduced, mind became calmer." Around 700 neuroscientists, doctors, and researchers
