The Lahore High Court (LHC) has prohibited the deportation of the five US origin terror suspects, arrested last week from Sargodha, without its permission. Hearing the case of the terror suspects, LHC Chief Justice Khwaja Mohammad Sharif declared that the US nationals cannot be deported until the court permits the concerned authorities for such an action, The Nation reports. It is still not clear that whether or not Washington has formally requested Islamabad for the deportation of five arrested American 'jihad' seekers. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan has already clarified that it would deport the detained US terror suspects only after the authorities complete their investigations. Interior Minister Rehman Malik had earlier clarified that investigations were still on, and that the issue of deporting the accused men would only be taken up once the Pakistani authorities complete their probe. Earlier this week, the US origin terror suspects, all in their late 20s, were shifted to Lahore for further interrogation by a joint investigation team.
