Delhi police arrest woman along with accomplice for child kidnapping | A woman and her associate were arrested for allegedly kidnapping six infants in the west Delhi. The woman purportedly have claimed that the kidnapped children
as her own, as she herself could not bear children. Meanwhile, one of the kidnapped
infant has been found dead. The police identified the woman as Ritu Kapoor and
her husband and associate in the crime, Mohammad Zia-ul, at a press conference.
"We have arrested two people. One is a lady named Ritu Kapoor and her associate
Mohammad Zia-ul. We have solved six kidnapping cases after their arrest. Basically
they targeted infants between the age of one-six months and in the past one year
and six months they have kidnapped six children. The first case was of Pandav
Nagar area, where she kidnapped a 3-month-old child and kept it with herself,
whom we found last evening. After that they kidnapped 5 children from different
locations like Hari Nagar area, Rajouri Garden area, Vikaspuri and Vrindavan area,"
Sharad Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, West District, New Delhi. The
woman was captured by the police following the description given by some of the
parents whose children had gone missing. "Her description was very peculiar. She
has very dark spots under her eyes, which had come up in three cases. And she
had also sold brass rings to some of the victim's parents and that was a link,
as they told us. And from there we took it forward," Sharad Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, West District, New Delhi . |
