Country has learnt hard lessons from 26/11: Sonia Gandhi | Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that the country has come out stronger learning many tough lessons from 26/11 Mumbai terror strikes. "It was a battering on the very idea of India and its rich
culture. No terrorist attack will ever be able to hit the spirit of Mumbai and
its people," she said. "If that was the aim of the terrorists, they miserably
failed. If the terrorists were seeking to divide our nation, create chaos and
divert us from our chosen path, they miscalculated totally. India has emerged
stronger," said Gandhi . Paying her homage to the heroes of 26/11 terror attacks,
Gandhi said she gives her salutation to the spirited Indians. "We have seen the
courage, resilience and determination with which Mumbaikars have resumed their
lives," she added. The Congress President also recalled the untiring devotion
and enthusiasm with which doctors, nurses, fire brigade and ambulance services
worked together dealing with all the wounded and troubled. Gandhi also gave her
salutation to the brave officers and men of the Mumbai Police and the National
Security Guard (NSG) personnel who sacrificed their lives fighting for the country. |
