New entrants at India International Trade Fair | Cuba, Papua New Guinea, Iraq and Nigeria being the first time participants in the 29th India International Trade Fair, are all ready to showcase their specialities to
the visitors at South Asia's biggest fair. Participants of Papua New Guinea see
it as an opportunity to open their products in the international market and also
a step towards promoting their country. "As a new entry in this part of Asia,
we feel that participating in this event will create awareness. By having business,
people will know about where Papua New Guinea is, what type of business we can
do here in India. This is the best avenue," said Caroroofa, an exhibitor, Papua
New Guinea. The New Guinea participants are offering their specialities like Coffee,
tea and spices. "We have tea and coffee. We also have fish canaries samples. We
also have samples of our spices as well; vanilla and cardamoms are some of the
examples. These are just the examples because we know India has lot of spices,"
Caroroofa added. Besides these four countries, Iran, Afghanistan, Argentina, Bangladesh,
Belgium, Bhutan, Brazil, China, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, the Netherlands,
Myanmar, Philippines, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Syria, Thailand,
Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom, the US and Vietnam are among the other foreign participants.
The fortnight-long fair, which will see about 7,500 domestic and overseas exhibitors
from 29 countries, is organised annually by the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation
and provides a platform for trade promotion and helps facilitate interaction between
national and international buyers. |
