Dharamsala holds seminar on Tibetan studies | To mark 50 years of Chinese occupation of Tibet, a three-day international seminar on Tibetan and Himalayan studies is being hosted at Dharamsala. The seminar was
inaugurated by Professor Samdhong Rinpoche, the Tibetan Prime Minister in-exile
here on Thursday. Many scholars and intellectuals from India as well as across
the world including Tibetans are participating in the seminar to exchange information
on Tibetan history and developments over the past five decades. "It is an international
seminar on Tibetan and Himalayan studies and it will be three days in which a
great number of outstanding scholars are participating," said Samdhong Rinpoche,
Tibetan Prime Minister in-exile. An Austrian delegate termed the first day of
