Fire breaks out in Pakistan PM's secretariat, Imran moved out

ISLAMABAD: A fire broke out in the Pakistan Prime Minister's secretariat on Monday afternoon even as Imran Khan was holding a meeting in his 5th floor office.

The Prime Minister's office was evacuated quickly. The fire reportedly started from a bathroom on the 6th floor and was spreading to rooms before it was controlled.

Imran Khan has reportedly left for his Bani Gala residence following the incident after all the staff were safely evacuated, the PM's spokesperson said.

The fire broke out at around 1pm and the whole secretariat building has since been evacuated. According to sources there has not been any major damages to the building or official records.
