Pak, China sign bilateral military cooperation agreement | | Pakistan and China have signed an agreement for bilateral military cooperation. The agreement was signed during a visit of Chinese delegation led by Deputy Chief
of General Staff of People Liberation Army, General Ma Xiaotian, to Rawalpindi, a press release by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said. The
delegation met Army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Joint Chiefs of Staff
Committee Chairman General Khalid Shameem Wynne and discussed ongoing cooperation
between the armed forces of the two countries, reports The Express Tribune. General
Xiaotian appreciated the role played by the people and armed forces of Pakistan
especially their efforts against terrorism. He reiterated that the cooperation
in different fields between the two armed forces would continue with a renewed
resolve and commitment towards each other. The visit of the Chinese delegation
commences the start of the 9th round of Pakistan-China Defence and Security Talks.
