Pink Floyd’s UK house bought blindly for 1.2m pounds | The former north London home of the original
band members of Pink Floyd has been bought by a Singaporean developer without even seeing it. Shivan Iswaran, who admitted not being a fan of the rock band,
bought the Highgate house and the one next door for 1.2 million pounds each, the
BBC reported. The legendary rock members - Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright
and Syd Barrett - lived in the house in the 1960s. Iswaran said that she would
decide what to do with it once she saw it. The previous owner, lighting technician
Mike Leonard, was landlord and friend to the band and even inspired their earliest
name, Leonard’s Lodgers. The house contains musical instruments which could have
been played by the band. Iswaran said that she had a friend who was a Pink Floyd
fan and may be interested in the odd item of memorabilia. “I’ll maybe put some
of the stuff on eBay,” she said.
