‘Money from sky’ tweet fools 100 Aucklanders | About 100 Aucklanders have been fooled after they were lured to Albert Park in New Zealand. They were promised that 10,000 dollars would drop from the sky, but were sorely disappointed to find it to be
a trick. A Twitter profile was created to dupe Aucklanders into thinking cash
would be dropped in the central city. According to stuff.co.nz, the GoodMoneyBad
tweeter also gave hints of the whereabouts of the money. Around 100 people decoded
clues and photos to find the location of the scam money at the Albert Park. Students
from Auckland University waited for at least half an hour for the money to fall,
but were disappointed. An architecture student Georgia Conway was hoping to pay
his student loan from the cash. ''I was hoping to start paying off my student
loan,'' he said. According to the report, the Twitter profile said after the stunt:
“I'm just showing New Zealand how easy it is to claim a teaser campaign as your
own”.
