Pugilist Laishram Devendro Singh on Saturday defeated his Mongolian opponent Serdamba Purevdorj 16-11 and stormed into the quarterfinals of the Men's Light Fly (49kg) category boxing event of the London Olympics. Singh, 20, dominated his opponent from the beginning of the bout, winning the first round 4-3, followed by a second round cakewalk of 4-2, and completing the rout in the third set with 8-6 victory.
