Anna says not disappointed by dwindling numbers at agitation | As Team Anna's fast at Jantar Mantar entered its fourth day on Saturday, veteran social activist Anna Hazare
on Saturday said that he was not worried about the dwindling number of supporters at his protests. " The size of the crowd does not matter. The andolan is going
on in 550 districts, so it is not correct to say that the crowd is huge or less,"
Hazare said. " I will be happy if even five people turn up. Crowds alone do not
make a movement," he added. He further said that he would join his close aides
at Jantar Mantar and begin his fast tomorrow. Team Anna has launched their indefinite
fast in New Delhi on Wednesday, raising the pitch against the UPA government on
the issue of corruption. Hazare's three close aides Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia
and Gopal Rai are sitting on an indefinite fast from July 25. Earlier, Hazare
hit out at the government, accusing the government of repeatedly going back on
its promises. "The aim is to campaign for a Lokpal Bill. The government is only
giving us assurances, but takes no action," he had said. Team Anna has demanded
setting up of a Special Investigation Team to probe corruption allegations against
Union Ministers, besides constituting a fast track court to try cases against
MPs and a strong Lokpal Bill.
