A Delhi Court on Friday handed over alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative Abu Jundal to Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). The ATS is likely to probe his alleged role in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Aurangabad arms drop case, Nashik police academy case and Pune's German Bakery blast case. Jundal will be in ATS custody reportedly for 15 days. He will be produced in a Mumbai court on Saturday. The court also directed the media not to publish clear photographs or video footage of Jundal, citing security concerns. Delhi ’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Vinod Yadav directed the ATS to bring Jundal back to Delhi after their interrogation, as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and other agencies too have sought his custody. Jundal, alias Abu Hamza, was arrested at Delhi airport on June 21 on his arrival from Saudi Arabia . Delhi Police Special Cell revealed his arrest only after interrogating him for five days about the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
