Wanted Maoist commander arrested in Bihar | Police have arrested dreaded Maoist commander Kolha Yadav, allegedly an
expert in slitting
people’s throats, and wanted in over sixteen criminal cases, here on Thursday.
Interacting with mediapersons here, Superintendent of Police Upendra Sharma said,
“Maoist commander Kolha Yadav was wanted in around 16 criminal cases and several
Maoist attacks in Jamui region of Bihar.He was a member of group of five people,
of which, Bageshwari Yadav is in jail. He was the commander of the group and used
to carry on Maoist attacks in the region.” Sharma informed that Yadav accepted
his role in various Maoist attacks during the investigation and had till now slit
the throats of about twenty villagers. “We were searching for him since few days.
We have been initiating search operations in the area. His father's name is Darogi
Yadav and he is a native of Vishnupur. He is an expert in slitting throats of
people. In the interrogation, he has revealed that he has slit throats of 20 people
till now. According to police records, he was wanted in 16 cases. Apart from these
cases he has accepted his role in other cases as well,” Sharma said. The police
have seized his personal weapon and few bullets from his possession. “We have
recovered his personal weapon and there were fewer bullets with him as he was
arrested from his area,” Sharma said.
