Cook aims to make England World No.1 in Tests, T20s & ODIs | England ODI skipper Alastair Cook is keen to make his team the undisputed kings of world cricket if the Three Lions are able to beat Australia 5-0 in the series and take their No.1 crown. It would mean that England would be No.1 in T20 cricket, one day cricket and Test cricket all at the same time,
something no side has ever done before. "Being No.1 would be a nice prize. But
we're going to have to be at our absolute best to try to win the series. Getting
to No.1 would be an amazing achievement. We're going alright, we've done well
at home and we're used to our conditions. Hopefully we can use that as an advantage,"
admitted Cook. "I think we are progressing as a team and people are starting to
feel comfortable in their roles in the set up. We've got a really good test of
ourselves now," he said. Australia under Michael Clarke will present the biggest
test of Cook's fledgling one-day captaincy so far, The Daily Mail reports. Cook
said that home advantage is key. "It's important to have a fortress because it
shows we are comfortable playing in our own conditions and we should be stronger,"
he said.
