Zardari must stop making PMs scapegoats and bring back black money: Sharif | Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz
Sharif has said President Asif Ali Zardari should stop making prime ministers
'scapegoats', and should instead bring back the six billion rupees from foreign
accounts and spend the same on people's welfare. "How long will the prime ministers
be made scapegoats? Why don't they bring back six billion rupees from Swiss bank
accounts? Why do they keep on sacrificing the prime ministers?" The Nation quoted
Sharif, as saying. He said Gilani's sacrifice was not for any noble cause but
it was to cover up six billion rupees of corruption money illegally deposited
in the foreign banks. Sharif said the current rulers had inflicted innumerable
sufferings on Pakistan and the sincerity, skill and intent needed to bring Pakistan
out of these crises was not in the government's priorities. "As a result," he
said, "The country is sinking deeper and deeper into crises." He outlined challenges
faced by the country that he felt needed to be dealt with as soon as possible.
The challenges, according to him, were restoring the country's economy that has
created unbearable inflation and unemployment, dealing with loadshedding, upholding
the sovereignty of the law and resolving the deteriorating law and order situation
in Balochistan and Karachi.
