'Arrogant' Nitish dreaming of becoming PM, charges Lalu | Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday described
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a very arrogant person who was dreaming of
becoming prime minister one day. Reacting to reports of some angry locals pelting
stones at Nitish's convoy during his 'Seva Yatra' at Chausa in Buxar district
today, Yadav said Kumar has failed to deliver on the promises made to the people
of Bihar. "Nitish Kumar, who is sitting in the lap of RSS, came into power in
Bihar by misleading the people of the state. We gave him sufficient time, you
might be aware of that. We gave him the time of more than a year so that he fulfils
the promises made before the people of Bihar ," said Yadav. "He is giving aid
of crores of rupees to certain print media, and not letting the issues and the
problems faced by the people come to the fore. He doesn't listen to anybody, be
it the opposition, or his own party leader, or MLA. He is full of arrogance and
dreaming to become the prime minister of the country," he added. Yadav said the
'Seva Yatra' undertaken by the chief minister is once again aimed at fooling the
people of the Bihar , who are already fed up with his regime. "Through the Seva
Yatra, he has once again tried to fool the people of Bihar . But the people of
Bihar are not foolish. All sections and classes of people in Bihar are now fed
up of him. People have now accepted the fact this man always speaks lies. "Nothing
is visible. The grants that we had taken from the Central Government right from
MNREGA to Sarva Siksha Abhiyyan, Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, highways, hospitals.
The health scam has taken place as in Bihar . All his bad deeds have been exposed,"
said Yadav. Yadav further alleged that there is no democracy in Bihar under the
Nitish regime, and added that the people of the state are experiencing the brunt
of it. "There have been incidents of rapes. There have been custodial deaths.
Around 33 people have been killed in police custody. There is no electricity.
There are no computers. There is no development in Bihar ," he said. Nitish Kumar
was not hurt in Wednesday's incident, when a large number of villagers gathered
at Chausa to demand that he listen to their grievances on electricity and water
supply in the area. Angry locals pelted stones and damaged several government
vehicles, as the convoy did not stop at Chausa. |
