Peace impossible till resolution of Kashmir issue: Hizbul Mujahideen chief

Hizbul Mujahideen Kashmir (HMK) supreme commander Syed Salahuddin has said peace in the region would not be possible until the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions. Salahuddin said the people of Kashmir have great expectations from the government and the people of Pakistan , and called for the inclusion of the Kashmir issue in the Pakistan-India talks, reports The Nation. “We are not against the negotiations, but we want our (Kashmiri’s) role in the negotiation as a third force,” he said. Criticising the present PPP-led government, he alleged that it had violated the country’s 64-year-long policy on Kashmir by awarding the Most Favoured Nation status to India , adding that it was totally an unintelligible and inconceivable decision on the part of the government, the paper states. He also claimed that India-trained terrorists were involved in the insurgency in Balochistan province, saying that India had constructed 16 dams in Kashmir to block the water share of Pakistan to destroy its agriculture. He further said world powers and western countries were not serious about the Kashmir issue. He alleged that the West and world powers had adopted dual standards on Kashmir to appease the Indian government. Salahuddin vowed that the struggle against the Indian occupation would continue until the last drop of his blood. He urged the Pakistan government to highlight the Indian state terror in the occupied valley of Kashmir . He asked for diplomatic campaign on international level to undertake the Indian aggression against Kashmiri people.
