McLaren ace Button riled at car's failing after another disappointment at Bahrain GP

McLaren driver Jensen Button is incensed over yet another failing by his car during the Bahrain Grand Prix, which cost him and his team valuable championship points. Button and McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton suffered a series of failures in Sakhir with their drives lacking power. Hamilton managed to rise above two extended stops when a mechanic twice struggled to fit a rear wheel nut, eventually taking eighth place. Button even used the team radio to complain about the performance of his tyres during the race, and was then hit by a cracked exhaust and a puncture that saw him retire a lap from home. Button believes there could have been some positives to take from Bahrain GP if he could have finished the race, but now there is no positive at all. "There would have been if we had finished. If I hadn't have had the problem at the end then I'd be leading the championship. Even if I had finished there would still have been a negative because we weren't quick, The Sun quoted Button, as saying. "So, no, there's no real positive to take from it. One of our strong points has been the start and in this race that didn't happen," he added. "Our race pace is normally very good, but it wasn't in this one; the pit stops weren't that special either, and our tyre deg [degradation] was higher than most, so all in all a very difficult day. We just didn't have anything," he said.
