A girl died in an accident after a tractor hit a motorbike from behind in Aman Vihar area of New Delhi on Saturday. To vent their anger, residents of the area torched the vehicle involved in the accident. Three other children, who sustained injuries, were rushed to a local hospital. The driver of the tractor fled away from the spot. Policemen had to use tear gas in order to disperse the irate mob. Meanwhile, security was stepped up in the area to bring the situation under control. Road accidents are common in India , where roads are often of poor quality. Transport officials attribute the surge in the number of road accidents to reckless driving and untrained drivers.
