State Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa's resignation charging him for misusing his position to de-notify state-owned land to favour his sons. "I demand Mr. Yeddyurappa
to quit immediately for the misdeeds, the decision he has taken, misusing his
office. He must quit the post; we are demanding for that, we are going to raise
this subject in the Parliament in the coming days also," said Kumaraswamy, while
addressing the media persons here today. The State JD (S) President further said
his party was in possession of document that pointed to the Chief Minister's role
in the land scam. "The land scam, which the media person are exposing now, it
worth about 50-60 billion rupees. The de-notification subject, which was cleared
by our Chief Minister, it is totally to favour his sons," said Kumaraswamy. "The
way, in which Chief Minister favoured his sons in de-notification subjects, we
already produced in front of the media several documents, which were cleared by
honourable Chief Minister," he added. Kumaraswamy claimed that Yeddyurappa's sons
have been allotted 2.5 acres of de-notified land. Yeddyurappa had recently won
two trust votes in the Karnataka Assembly after his government was reduced to
minority in a protracted political crisis. |
