the three militant cadres surrendered with their arms, which included an US made
M-16 rifle, an AK-47 rifle and 9mm pistol with several rounds of live ammunitions

said the Myanmar government has been very cooperative at the highest level, which
in turn facilitated this surrender. "There is a lot of cooperation between the
Myanmari government and our government and at our level we have a lot of regular
post meetings with the Myanmar government and Myanmar Army. They are very cooperative
in this regard and recently at the highest level there has been exchanges," he
added. "And there have been newspaper reports that both the countries have agreed
to cooperate at the highest level and I am sure it will materialise and we shall
be seeing the results soon," said Major General C A Krishnan. Director General

and it is heartening to note the Assam Rifles would leave no stone unturned to
bring back the misguided youths into the main stream. Major General Krishnan also
mentioned that Manipur state has one of the best rehabilitation packages for such
surrendered militants. "Manipur state has one of the best rehabilitation packages
and the state government, the state police, the media, the society and us, we
