Moin Khan showers praise on 'captain cool' Dhoni | Former Pakistan wicket keeper Moin Khan has commended India for winning the Asia Cup after 15 years while praising skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his 'composure and calmness'. "India proved itself
to be the best team under pressure in the event. Sri Lanka looked the best but
the Indians came good when it mattered the most and this is the sign of a good
team," Moin said. "Being a wicketkeeper is a big advantage to Dhoni, I have captained
Pakistan and I know that being a wicketkeeper gives you a clear view of everything
happening on the field. I have always felt wicketkeepers make good captains,"
The Daily Times quoted Moin, as saying. Showering praise on India's youth brigade,
he said players like Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli
were the next generation stars for the men in blue, but some of them still need
to polish their skills. "These players are a good investment for the future of
Indian cricket and particularly for the 2011 World Cup but some of them seriously
need to work out their problems against the fast shot pitched deliveries, they
have struggled against bouncers for a while now," Moin noted. |
