January 24, 2014 | The Best from the West: Cameron's No, No to his kids | David Cameron says his three children are forbidden watching undesirable television programmes and playing computer games. They should be active in sports and learn music, and not watching twerking!
|
London: The British Prime Minister, David Cameron, has barred his children from having mobile phones, music gadgets and video games. He said he also wants his children away from Disney channels and watch more of nature programmes, take part in sport and play music, instead of cartoons. The 47-year old Prime Minister has three children, two girls and a boy - Nancy (9), Elwen (boy-7) and Florence (3) - with his wife Samantha. They want to limit the kids' "screen time" and encourage them to lead "very active" lives. Cameron told the Mail he doesn't allow his children watch television programmes in the morning on weekends. While his daughter Nancy has a bent for the arts, his son Elwen plays a lot of football and rugby. And, all this because he is a strict father and a believer. They have a nanny at their official residence, 10 Downing Street. Cameron does not allow his children watch the sexually suggestive dance move called “twerking”, made famous by Miley Cyrus, who played Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. No twerking for kids. "My children are too young. They have not connected Hannah Montana." They knew Cyrus as Hannah Montana, but don't recognise her as the "new Miley." Her provocative 'Wrecking Ball' video was banned from daytime French television recently. |
