The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday denied reports which said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has threatened to snap ties with the party if it engages Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi campaign in the state during run-up to the assembly polls. Interacting with media, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said its for the party to decide who to engage for campaigning and whom not. "We have not received any such message from the JD-U on who will campaign and who won't, This is for us (BJP) to decide who should or shouldn't. We have not sought anybody's advice on this either," Hussain said. Claiming that relations with Janata Dal (United) are intact and strong, the BJP leaders held two rounds of meeting at party’s Ashoka Road office. BJP top brass is expected to hold third meeting later in the evening. "I will also be present at the meeting at 9 in the evening with the party president Nitin Gadkari. Whatever decision we take, you will be informed," Hussain added.
