IMG - BCCI meeting ends

      Representatives of leading sports event management firm IMG on Monday met with officials of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) officials and said it was informative and successful. During the meeting the IMG is presumably gave details of the financial dealings it had with suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner Lalit Modi. The IMG, which conducted the first three seasons of the highly successful IPL , sent its senior vice president Andrew Wildblood and two other representatives to meet with BCCI top officials. Wildblood and his colleagues Paul Manning and John Loffhagen met BCCI President Shashank Manohar, Secretary N Srinivasan, Vice-President Rajiv Shukla, interim IPL Chairman Chirayu Amin and Vice-Chairman Niranjan Shah among others, for over two hours. "We had a friendly and constructive meeting with the BCCI. We are hoping to have good relations with the BCCI," Wildblood said. The meeting was called by the BCCI to get detailed information on all matters relating to the IPL, including the awarding of global broadcast rights to Multi Screen Media-World Sports Group, since its inception. The meeting was held at the BCCI headquarters here. IMG officials said they were keen to have a healthy relationship with the BCCI and were looking forward to continuing that relationship. Whiteblood also said the issue of launching a T20 league in England was also discussed. The IMG are the property rights holders for Indian Premier League. Amin also said the meeting went off well with IMG officials, but refused to divulge further details.
