Jharkhand girl raped for fleeing Maoists' camp | A Maoists cadre had allegedly raped a 16 year old girl for
fleeing out of their camp in Jharkhand's Lathehar District. According to police,
the girl who was forcibally inducted into Maoists ranks, came back to her village
a few days back. Lathehar Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Dwivedi said the Maoists
who came to the village, caught the girl and asked her to return to camp. But
when she refused they beaten her brutally and raped her. Earlier, the Maoists
had asked their sympathizers to trace her alleging that she had fled with arms.
Dwivedi said, Maoists left the girl at a lonely place from where villagers rescued
her and admitted to a near by health centre. He added that the girl was admitted
to a hospital for further medical attention. |
