Nine new Rail Line projects announced - India News and Travel Times Provides India-centric and other News and Features

Minister for Railways Ms Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday announced new rail line projects. The following new rail line projects have been included in the Railway Budget for the year 2010-2011: 1. Rishikesh-Karanprayag 2. Digha-Jaleshwar 3. Bagalkot-Kudachi 4. Hasanabad-Hingalganj 5. Balurghat-Hilli 6. Bhadrachalam Road-Sattupalli 7. Kaliyaganj-Buniadpur 8. Bowaichandi-Arambagh 9. Tarakeshwar-Magra Ms. Mamata said in addition, the works on the sections Tarakeshwar-Champadanga, Arambagh-Irphala of Arambagh-Ghatal, Machlandpur-Swarupnagar, Budge Budge-Pujali, Prantik-Siuri, Tarakeshwar-Dhaniakhali, New Mal-Maynaguri Road, Dankuni-Furfurasharif, Gaya-Nataesar (Nalanda), Nidamangalam-Mannargudi and Mandir Hasaud-Naya Raipur are also being taken up.
