Pune blast the result of security division for MNIK: Bitta | Congress leader and All India Anti Terror Front (AIATF) chairman MS Bitta on Wednesday said a security diversion to protect the Shah Rukh Khan's movie 'My Name is Khan'
offered an opportune moment for the Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) to engineer the terror attack in Pune. Interacting with the media after visiting the blast
location here Bitta said: "The ISI capitalized on the prevailing situation to
strike Pune where security infrastructure was lame." Pune is a big city in India
and a leading educational and economic hub and the masterminds of the German Bakery
blast had designs to harm that status, he said. "Beefing up security in Pune after
the blast is nothing but a farce. Why the government did not do it earlier in
view of the burgeoning proportions of the city ?," Bitta questioned. He also blamed
politicians for playing "politics over the dead bodies." Bitta also demanded immediate
death penalty to Ajmal Kasab who was arrested during 26/11 attack and Afzal Guru
who was involved in the Parliament attack. "Afzal is still evading the noose and
Kasab is enjoying mutton Biryani from Mumbai police," he commented. He demanded
the Centre to constitute anti-terrorist military court to try cases on fast track.
Bitta also criticised Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for their
divisive politics and said that was precisely what Pakistan wanted. |
