Bring Pune blast culprits to justice at earliest: Prime Minister | Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Sunday directed both Centre and Maharashtra Government officials to take co-ordinated and effective steps to identify and bring culprits of Pune blast to justice. Prime Minister's direction came during the meeting with
Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram in the national capital. Chidambaram briefed
about Pune blast to Prime Minister Singh, after reviewing the situation with top
Home Ministry officials in his North Block office this morning. According to Prime
Minister's office, Sigh directed that "Union and State Governments should take
coordinated and effective action to speedily investigate the matter so that the
culprits responsible for this heinous act are identified and brought to justice
at the earliest." The Prime Minister Sigh expressed his deepest condolences and
sympathies to the families of all those killed and injured in the incident. Sigh
also announced a relief of Rs. two lakh to the next of kin of those deceased and
Rs. one lakh to those injured. He said the Centre would extend whatever help was
required by the families of those killed and injured in the incident. |
