Pune police chief assures to solve German Bakery blast case soon | Pune Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh on Sunday expressed confidence that the German Bakery blast case would be solved soon. Briefing the media here, Singh
said: "We are 100 per cent confident of solving the case soon. Various agencies
are investigating the matter." Commenting on the involvement of the Indian Mujahideen
(IM) in the incident, Singh did not rule out the possibility of terror outfit's
role, and said: "We can't say anything right now." According to Singh, the bomb,
which was made of RDX and ammonium nitrate, was planted at a rucksack inside bakery.
He also added that no specific intelligence on blasts was given to Pune Police.
On Saturday, Union Home Secretary G. K. Pillai had said that on October 12, 2009
the Home Ministry had informed Maharashtra Government about the locations surveyed by Lashakar operative David Headley. |
