'King' Khan feels sorry for Pak players missing IPL

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, one of the owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders Twenty20 cricket team has expressed regret over Pakistan cricketers missing IPL-3. He expressed these views while promoting his film 'My Name Is Khan' here on Wednesday. "Somewhere down the line, we are creating situations in our country which are making us feel that we may need to hold back our own way of welcoming people. I think this is wrong," said Khan. As for recruiting Pakistani players in the Kolkata Knight Riders team, he said while all the slots had been filled, he still hoped to include Pakistani cricketers in his squad. "There is no slot in our team anymore. The last slot was taken up by Shane Bond, as we needed a fast bowler. We cannot take any more international players now," opined Khan. Speaking about his upcoming film, he dispelled notions that it was primarily based on terrorism. The main theme of the movie was love, he added. "My film 'My Name Is Khan' is not entirely on terrorism, this is a love story. But the kind of love stories Kajol and I have done, it is different from those. It is a dramatic love story. This is what it makes it different from other," he added. Directed by Karan Johar, 'My Name is Khan' relates the story of an autistic man Rizwan Khan, who is caught in the aftermath of the September 11 militant attacks in the United States . 'My Name is Khan' is slated for worldwide release on February 12.
