Mohan Bhagwat expresses concern over attacks on students in Australia

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed concern over attacks on Indian students in Australia. Addressing a gathering at an RSS function organised here on Sunday, Bhagwat said that Indians were being attacked, as the world did not respect the country's strength. "Strength of India is not respected in the world, whether you go in Fiji, Australia, Uganda, America or England, people, there will attack you. No one dares to attack Jews, because one knows that Israel is so powerful that it would break hands," he added. He also asked the central government to take adequate measures for protection of Indians not only in Australia, but in other countries also. Further denying that the RSS has any role in active politics, Bhagwat rubbished recent media reports of the RSS involvement in selecting Nitin Gadkari as the president of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). "Neither do we indulge in politics nor we make efforts to install individuals in important posts," he added. "I have said it several times that we have not been instrumental in the appointment of the new (BJP) president. He (Gadkari) has also said it. Yet people say that since we belong to same place (Nagpur), so the Sangh must have a role in his appointment," Bhagwat said.
