Bhojpuri actor-singer turned politician Manoj Tiwari on Sunday expressed his solidarity with estranged Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amar Singh. "I am totally with Amar Singh. I am with him in every decision. Sanjay Dutt has resigned from party post, not party and Amar Singh also has resigned from post," said Tiwari. Tiwari had earlier said that he too would quit if Amar Singh does not join the party again. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has also resigned as the general secretary of Samajwadi Party. The actor-turned-politician resigned a couple of days after Amar Singh, quit from all party posts of the SP. The media had reported a rift between Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Singh after the party's poor show in its stronghold Uttar Pradesh state, winning just 23 seats out of 80, in the last general elections. Amar Singh had on Wednesday (January 6) announced his resignation as general secretary of the Samajwadi Party and from his other posts, citing health reasons.
