The world's oldest person has died at the age of 115. According to doctors, Gertrude Baines may have suffered a heart attack. An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause. Baines died on Friday in Los Angeles . She was born in 1894 in Shellman , Georgia , the Telegraph reports. Baines became the world's oldest living person when a 115-year-old woman, Maria de Jesus, died in Portugal in January. Meanwhile, the Gerontology Research Group at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, have claimed that the oldest person in the world is now 114-year-old Kama Chinen, who lives in Japan.
