The United Progressive Alliance government finally presented the much-awaited Liberhan Commission report over the Babri mosque demolition after the Opposition staged uproar on Monday over the leakage of the report to media before tabling it in Parliament. Union Home Minister presented the Liberhan report along with the 13-page Action Taken Report (AT) in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday after the Question Hour at 12.00 p.m. The decision to present the report today itself was earlier taken in a meeting of the Union Cabinet meet. Earlier in the day, Parliamentary Affair Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, announced that the Government will table the report in Parliament at 12.00 noon after the Question Hour. The Government will table the English version today. Meanwhile, minutes after tabling after the report, the Rajya Sabha proceeding had to be adjourned till 2.00 p.m. after Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and BJP leader Ahluwalia got into scuffle over sloganeering in the House.
