Maoists kill five people in Jharkhand

      At least five people have been killed by Naxals at Pundigiri village, about 60 kms from Ranchi this morning. According to police, activists of banned group Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) entered Pundigiri village in the Tamar block, abducted five villagers and took them to a forest where they were shot dead. This is the second attack by the Maoists in the same area in the last 11 days. On August 27, the Maoists had killed four villagers, including a girl, at Bundu, near Pundigiri village.
