Bihar police seizes 5000 kilograms of explosives | The Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar Police today got hold of 5000 kilograms of explosives in Gaya district. "About 5000 kilograms
of explosives were seized by the STF from two places in Gaya District in wee hours
today morning," said Superintendent of Police S M Khopade. The STF forced their
entry into a closed shop at Kaulakhshni area and seized 29 gunny bags containing
explosives. The STF also recovered 70 sacks of explosives after a successful raid
at a house, which falls under the Delha police station. Each of the sacks had
40 to 45 kg of explosives, added Khopade. Adding that the explosives were highly
inflammable, Khopade said forensic experts have been called in from Patna for
further examination. On Tuesday, Bihar Police found 30,000 live cartridges of
point 315 bore, two AK-47 rifles, four Insas rifles and huge quantity of explosives.
The STF had on November 8 held liquid explosives, 14 carbine-manufacturing equipments,
two pistols, 7221 live cartridges and 50 detonators. Besides these, they also
recovered a box containing naxal literature, CD and cassettes from a place in
Patna. |
