The US embassy in Islamabad has issued a 'Warden Notice', announcing that it was suspending routine consular services from Monday due to unspecified security reasons. "This Warden Notice is to notify American citizens that routine consular services will be temporarily suspended from Monday," The Daily News quoted the notice, as saying. The embassy has however clarified that the suspension was temporary, and normal service would resume on Friday. It would continue to provide emergency services to Americans in need of such assistance. Meanwhile, all immigrant and non-immigrant visa interviews would be rescheduled and passport applications would only be available from November 2. The notice has also advised US citizens in Pakistan to take precautionary measures amid a tense security situation.
