Only 43% Americans would vote for Obama if polls were held today |
A poll conducted by Fox News has revealed that the Nobel Prize winning
US President Barack Obama is losing his base among American voters, as his
ratings have hit an all-time ‘low’. The poll found that number of Americans saying
that they would vote to re-elect President Obama has dropped from 52 percent,
six months ago to 43 percent, which means that more voters would back someone
else in the 2012 election than they would back the president. Another major revelation
in the poll was that only 38 percent voters trusted President Obama ’s advisors,
while 45 percent thought that he was "listening to the wrong people". The poll
somewhat illustrated similar figures over Obama’s strategies for issues relating
to Afghanistan and Iran . On Afghanistan , 41 percent of Americans said that they
approve of the job Obama is doing while 43 percent disapproved of it, on the other
hand for his handling of Iran , 44 percent approved and 43 percent disapproved
it, Fox News reported. On Obama’s handling of the struggling economy, voters had
an equally split reaction with 48 percent approving of his work and 49 percent
disapproving it. The poll also found that Obama’s ratings on foreign issues were
lower than his overall job ratings, as 49 percent of those reviewed said that
they approve of what he is doing, while 45 percent disapprove it. |
