Security forces rescue trapped polling officials in Maharashtra

      Security forces rescued a polling official's team trapped by Maoists in Gadchirolli district of Maharashtra here on Tuesday evening during State Assembly polls. Security forces managed to evacuate the poll party to a safe destination after two MI-17 and 400 armed forces were rushed to rescue the trapped polling officials who had been surrounded by Maoists. Earlier, seventeen policemen were killed in an ambush by the Maoists near Laheri in the district on October 8.
