Lookout notice against Kochhars, Dhoot | | Feb 24, 2019
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday issued a lookout
notice against former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar, her husband Deepak Kochhar
and Videocon Group promoter Venugopal Dhoot.
The circular followed an FIR filed against the three last month in the ICICI-
Videocon loan case. The CBI had named the the Kochhars and Dhoot as accused
in the Rs 3,250 cr loan case.
Chanda Kochhar had resigned from her post last year after seeking early retirement.
Reports had claimed that Videocon chairman Venugopal Dhoot had provided crores
of rupees to a firm promoted by Deepk Kochhar. Dhoot allegedly invested Rs 64
crore in NuPower Renewables Pvt Ltd run by Kochhar’s husband. The alleged transfer
took place after Dhoot’s group was given a loan of Rs 3,250 crore by the ICICI
Bank.
